Travel has always been my escape from the rat race — and honestly, I enjoy the planning almost as much as being there. Researching destinations, mapping routes, figuring out the ferry schedules. In 2010, a friend who'd been living in Southeast Asia convinced me to finally make the trip. I landed in Bali — Kuta before the development really took hold — and the Indonesia addiction began.
I'd done some travel before, but nothing like this. The temples, the rice terraces, the sheer scale of 17,000 islands stretched across an ocean. I was back the following year for Yogyakarta and Borobudur. Then Lombok. Then Komodo. Then Raja Ampat, which still doesn't feel real.
I went back again and again, and Indonesia became a genuine obsession. I've now covered Bali, Ubud, Nusa Penida, Java, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Flores, Komodo, Raja Ampat, Lake Toba, and more.
I'm not a travel blogger. I have a regular tech day job.
